Mutya Buena's Sugababes regret
Jul 1, 2007, 13:00 GMT
Mutya Buena regrets the way she left the Sugababes.
The 22-year-old singer believes it was the right decision to quit the group, but now wishes she had told her fellow bandmates Keisha Buchanan and Heidi Range before her management company.
She told New magazine: "I think Keisha and Heidi were hurt because I didn't tell them first - I told my management company. That's something I regret."
Mutya founded the Sugababes with current member Keisha when the pair were just 12-years-old.
They recorded four hit albums and had four UK number one singles before Mutya left in 2005.
Mutya wants to remain friends with her former bandmates but has not had time to see them because of the release of her first solo album 'Real Girl'.
She also denies reports of a feud between the three girls.
She said: "It's not a feud. It's just we haven't really had the chance to have eye-to-eye contact, or talk. So, whether it's true that they've said stuff about me or not, I don't know. I've just ignored it.
"If they haven't got the time of the day for me, or are chatting about me and spreading rumours - spreading lies - then I'm really not going to go out of my way to talk about them."
