Paul McCartney set to play “surprise” gig at L.A. record store Wednesday

Riding high on the successful release of ‘Memory Almost Full,’ Paul McCartney is scheduled to play a "surprise" concert at a Los Angeles record store on Wednesday, June 27th.

McCartney, who has performed “secret” shows in London and New York, will perform songs from the new album and some of his older hits at Amoeba Records in Hollywood about 7:30 p.m. PDT. The singer has yet to launch a full tour in support of the new album, and has instead played these free small venue concerts.McCartney’s ‘Memory Almost Full’ was the first release for the Hear Music label (which is co-founded by coffee retailer Starbucks Corp.) and seen strong sales landing at No. 3 on the U.S. pop charts.
