Kelly Rowland's depressing album

Kelly Rowland had to rethink her new album because it "would have made people cry".

The former 'Destiny's Child' singer says her new LP 'Ms Kelly' was due to be released last year until she decided it was too serious and depressing.Rowland told Britain's Guardian newspaper: "It was more serious. It was all, 'This is what I've been through' and 'My heartache'. I thought, 'Kelly, life is not just about heartache. You have good times and you should talk about those as well'. So that's what I did."I think I'd have made people cry with the first draft of the record."Rowland started writing her second studio album - originally called 'My Story' - shortly after splitting from fiancé American football star Roy Williams in 2005.The singer now admits she wasn't ready to get married.Rowland revealed: "This is the first time I've ever said this but with the engagement I wasn't ready. I wasn't healed from my other relationships before him."(C) BANG Media International
