The Cure hit the road for North American tour

Legendary rock act The Cure have revealed plans for a month-long North American tour that will kickoff Sept. 13th in Tampa, Florida.
The British band - now slimmed down to a four-piece including original lead guitarist Porl Thompson, long-time bassist Simon Gallup, new drummer Jason Cooper and the man himself Robert Smith - will cross the U.S. and Canada hitting arenas and amphitheaters.
These will be The Cure's first North American appearances since their traveling Curiosa Festival in 2004 that also featured Interpol, Mogwai, Muse, and more. For this run, Sheffield, England math-rock act 65daysofstatic will open all shows.
