The first day of the annual Bonnaroo festival (in Manchester, Tennessee) featured a headline performance from rockers Tool and a jam performance from Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones, guitarist Ben Harper and drummer Questlove.
The Tool set was a main attraction for many fans at the festival and featured a number of songs from the band’s new studio album ‘10,000 Days’ - including “The Pot.” The band also performed some of their older hits such as “Stinkfist” and “Schism.” Towards the end of the performance, Tool was joined on stage by Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello for “Lateralus.”
John Paul Jones, Harper, and Questlove played for a packed crowd at the Other Tent. The musicians cranked out Zeppelin hits like “When the Levee Breaks,” “Good Times, Bad Times” and “Dazed and Confused.” They also covered Marvin Gaye's “Inner City Blues” and Stevie Wonder's “Superstition.”
Bonnaroo’s Friday performances also featured appearances from the Roots, the Black Keys, Lily Allen, Manu Chao and Kings of Leon.
