Paul McCartney treats 700 fans to a secret show in New York

Sir Paul McCartney treated 700 fans to an intimate concert at the Highline Ballroom in New York on Wednesday. The show was presented as a way to celebrate the rock icon’s latest release ‘Memory Almost Full’ and followed the singer’s performance at a similar show in London last week. Both the New York and London concerts were free to fans lucky enough to get one of the limited numbered tickets.

McCartney’s set list included several songs from the new album (which gave the singer his highest solo chart placing in ten years), and a few classics from his days with the Beatles – including “Get Back.” Other songs performed by McCartney included “Hey Jude,” “Dance Tonight” and “Only Mama Knows.” During the show, the singer dedicated a song to his late wife Linda McCartney, and the song “Here Today” to his former bandmates John Lennon and George Harrison.'Memory Almost Full' was released on Tuesday, June 5th, to widespread critical acclaim from publications including Entertainment Weekly, Rolling Stone, People Magazine and The New Yorker. The album, which is the Starbuck's label Hear Music’s inaugural release, has shipped more than 500,000 copies.
