'Planet Earth' has already unleashed its lead single "Guitar" - which was released to U.S. radio on Monday. The single is also part of a new campaign and partnership between Verizon and Prince. The album’s track list is a bit of a mystery, but Columbia has confirmed the album will feature a guest appearance from Wendy & Lisa.
Verizon subscribers who have downloaded the V Cast song ID feature will be able to go to various websites (including revver.com, myspace.com or veoh.com) to play the video from the new Prince single. While the video is playing, users hold the phone close by and will be given details about the single and an option to download it wirelessly.
Prince has announced plans to hold a series of concerts to help promote the album. Planned shows include several dates in London this summer and a series of performances at Los Angeles' Roosevelt Hotel.
