Rap icons Beastie Boys have announced they will hit the road this summer for a short U.S. tour that will see the group mixing up the set with traditional hip-hop performances and instrumental shows – which reflect the group’s new album ‘The Mix-Up.’

The hip-hop performances will kickoff on August 1st in Philadelphia and end on August 25th in Berkeley, Calif. Pre-sale tickets for the hip-hop leg will be available Thursday. The instrumental tour dates have yet to be announced.
