"Many years from now" must have seemed like an understatement to 16-year-old Paul McCartney, wondering if he\'d still be needed or fed at the age of 64. As it turned out, all doubt as to the latter had ceased by his 22nd birthday (though few could have predicted he\'d end up washing down those meals with the liquid pride of Seattle). As to the former? Now that McCartney, as of ...more
In celebration of the release of his new album ‘Memory Almost Full,’ Paul McCartney is scheduled to play a “secret show” at the Highline Ballroom in New York City on Wednesday, June 13th.
A limited number of free wristbands will be available June 13th from 12.30pm (EDT) at the Highline Ballroom box office only. The wristbands will be given out on a first come, first serve basis. The concert doors will open at 7pm. In addition to the wristbands, five pairs of tickets are to be given away through www.paulmccartney.com - please check the news section for details.
The concert comes on the heels of a London performance at the Electric Ballroom. At the show, the singer/songwriter performed for about 1,000 people. The performance included songs from his new album and some classics from his days with The Beatles.
'Memory Almost Full' was released on Tuesday, June 5th, to widespread critical acclaim from publications including Entertainment Weekly, Rolling Stone, People Magazine and The New Yorker. Hear Music’s inaugural release, the album shipped more than 500,000 copies.

I wish I could go! I really doubt they were giving away free wristbands to go to that concert - I mean, this is Paul McCartney, for heaven's sake! His concerts cost a fortune to go to! Not that I can say I've ever been to one... But I don't think they were giving away free wristbands...five free tickets online, I believe, because that is hard to get...but if there ARE free wristbands, I wish I could get one! I really want to go, but I live too far away and it's too soon for me to get there, plus tickets probably (actually, nost definately) cost a fortune. I wish I was at least in New York so I could be there at the same time Paul McCartney was there, at least in the same city! I love Paul and the Beatles :)
