Spears takes to the stage for the first time in three years

Pop diva and tabloid queen Britney Spears got back to her musical roots on Tuesday when she appeared at the House of Blues. The short set was the first time the singer had performed for an audience in three years.
Spears, 25 and a mother of two, hit the House of Blues stage sporting knee-high boots, a short skirt and a pink bra top. She was also said to be wearing a brown wig. The short set list included the Spears classic “Baby One More Time.”
The songs were performed at a fast pace and the set only lasted about 15 minutes. Spears waved to the crowd as she left the stage and thanked them all for coming out to see her.
Although many in the crowd were said to be happy with the performance, others reported feeling letdown by the quick routine. One fan stated Spears appeared to be lip-synching the entire show.
The short concert was kept quiet (The club marquee advertised a performance by "The M&Ms") and Spears’ name wasn’t even mentioned until an hour after the club opened.

Yes I'm rooting for Britney Spear's Lipsynching-singing career back TOO! Miss Tabloid Tart better REALLY start taking her singing seriously, cause it ain't like she has a movie career to fall back on!

a 15 minute set and people paid $125 USD for that? And she still can't dress worth a damn, pink bra or not. Lame
I am glad to see that she is turning things around and is at least making an effort to get back into her career. I would rather see her lip syncing then on the brink of self destruction. I hope everyone can realize that she is performing for her fans not the money.
sk8trgurl why do you care so much and get offended. Likely, in the USA you choose if you want to watch her or not. Don't get worked up. Just say no and look to some other form of music than the lip-sync kind... Life is tough, get a helmet.

To all the nay-sayers. When was the last time the media scrutinized your every move? My guess is that Britney, is actually a human being with feelings, and quite possibly somebody's daughter. She deserves kudos for trying to pull her life together again. Nay-sayers I feel sorry for the people in your lives, because I'm sure you demoralized your family and friends with your toxic opinions, because you have no problem hurting strangers. How about getting your lard filled butts out of your chairs and try to make something out of your pathetic little lives. Sad, sad, sad.

My outrage isn't with her lip synced performance... it's the fact that there are a thousand better totally unknown 'live singers' out there that could have blown her off the stage... she gets a second chance?
What did she do with the first one? Hey! I won the lottery and blew it all on junk! Can I have a second chance please?
If she can't sing... now... practice and get back into shape. You can't judge her performance from lip syncing... you can't say she was 'great' is she didn't even sing. She should wear her disguise and go to a karaoke bar.

Maybe she made some extra money out back picking up tricks... or rolling some homeless bums for change (I hear she swings a mean umbrella).
She should stay out of the public eye until we forget about her... practice practice practice... write some new songs with... a tough edge about her experience... change her style, her persona completely, then sing in public FOR REAL.
I expect her to have a show in Vegas in the years ahead... lip syncing her hits, trying to relive her youth. She will be popular though. All her die hard fans will flock to those shows... when they visit Vegas. She is between the 'young Elvis' and the 'Old fat Elvis' phase of her career. There will be a comeback concert... but it will be lackluster and a sign of the end of her diva popularity... this is my prediction.
Maybe she could stage a boxing match with Tanya Harding. Now that would sell tickets.
I'd like to comment to all the nay sayers too. How juvenile can you get and where are you to judge. I'm sure your career isn't, wasn't or nearly ever be as successful as hers.

Madonna has used sex all her career-life & she's still doing fantastic even (outselling people have her age).
She can't sing so she uses sex to get attention. As for the publicity, I think she brought all that on herself and loved the attention, so don't feel too sorry for her. She knew exactly what she was doing. She might be dumb, but she isn't that dumb. As others have said, if you don't like this mess, don't buy into it.
