Eve busted on suspicion of drunk driving and gets a visit from Penn

Rapper Eve was busted Thursday morning on suspicion of drunk driving following an accident where she crashed her Maserati into a median on Hollywood Boulevard. It is also being reported she received a quick visit from Oscar winning actor Sean Penn while she was booked in jail.
The arrest happened just before 3 a.m. on Thursday, and Eve (whose real name is Eve Jihan Jeffers and is 28) was taken into custody by Los Angeles Police Department officers. She was released a few hours later after posting $30,000 bail.
The website TMZ is reporting that Penn visited the rapper/actress while she was still being processed to allegedly check on her condition. There are no reports that Penn and Eve had been together before the accident happened.
Eve won a Grammy for Best Rap/Song Collaboration for 2002’s “Let Me Blow Ya Mind,” and has appeared in films such as Barbershop, XXX, and The Woodsman.
