Rock bad boy Marilyn Manson fears he will be blamed for Virginia

Goth rocker Marilyn Manson, whose music was linked to the 1999 Columbine shootings, has claimed that he has concern his music will be labeled as a cause for the Virginia Tech shootings.
In an interview with BBC radio, Manson said: “I wouldn't be surprised if my name got brought into this (Virginia Tech shootings).” The singer said his concern was that the music would become part of the blame for the shooting that left 33 people dead.
Manson’s name and music was brought to the front of the Columbine news reports in 1999 after family groups stated the singer’s style and music encouraged the school shooting.
During the interview, Manson discusses his reaction to watching the initial Columbine news cast about the shooting, the Virginia Tech shooting, and how he feels he will be linked.

He was shunned and slandered when the Columbine shootings happened, which brought on a downward spiral and one of the reasons he decided to give up music writing after his Age Of Grotesque album. Now he's bringing his music back this happens and he doesn't want the same thing to happen. Because he takes his art seriously he gets punished for what these stupid kids do, i've listened to Manson since the beginning and I don't have any urge to kill people. People need to take responsibility for their kids and not leave it to the media to tell them what to do.
Keep going Manson, in this conformist society we need people like you to lead us.

Manson has been dragged into so much crap over the years it is ridiculous and because of it he wrote his album Holy Wood which revolves around three things one kennedy two the story of adam and three columbine the fact that he has written an entire album of music inspired by columbine is proof that we as a society need to re evaluate what and who we blame
my belief is you can't blame media you have to blame the person and their direct realtions
