Mark Ronson's Robbie Williams pride
Apr 21, 2007, 7:00 GMT
Producer Mark Ronson is not ashamed to have worked with Robbie Williams.
Robbie's last album 'Rudebox' was a chart failure and critically panned, but the music producer is "proud" of the work he did on the LP.
Mark said: "I don't want to disassociate myself from 'Rudebox' at all! I'm proud of the stuff I did on that record.
"People were extra hard on him, they didn't like the first single and that seemed to taint the whole album."
But Mark - who has also worked with Christina Aguilera and Amy Winehouse - is not interested in helping Britney with her pop comeback.
He said: "I wouldn't really like to help with Britney's comeback.
"She can sing but she sounds better over glossy, electronic pop.
I don't think our sounds would marry. She can definitely reclaim her pop crown, though."

I sincerly suggest you stop being brainwashed by the UK tabloids, and actually do some research on Rudebox!!!
Firstly, regarding it's apperent 'chart failure' - Hmm, it strikes me as being a little strange and worrying in fact that an album that reaches #1 in 14 countries and sold alomst 3.5 MILLION copies globally, to become 2006's best selling album by a solo artist outside the USA can be labelled a chart failure. Very odd actually. I'd hate to think what you'd labell Take That's album, which has reached #1 in a single country in the rest of the world, it has also sold near 2.8 million less copies than Rudebox abroad. On paper, Rudebox has been miles more successful than TT's album, but in the papers it has failed miserably seemingly.
And the singles have been huge worldwide smash hits. The single 'Rudebox' reached #1 in 8 countries around the world, very few artist can achive that today, nevermind an act who has been in the business for 17 years. She's Madonna was a #1 hit, the single most popular track in all of Europe infact, and 7 weeks into it's release is the 12th best selling song in the whole workd!
And as for the album being critcally panned, again some research is needed big time on your part. Since when have crappy tabloids like the Sun and The Mirror actually been taken seriously for music reviews? Seems it's only when Robbie is concered. Again, if you did some actual research, you would soon discover Rudebox got brilliant reviews from creadible music mags and sites who actually know what they are talking about, such as NME, Uncut, Mojo, Music Week, Popmatters, Popjustice, The Times just to name a few.
And to think all of this success has been achived without any sort of promotion by Robbie or even his record company 'EMI', you will be pushed to see any artist have such massive success with an experimental album, not even released in the USA, without doing any sort of work to promote it. When you look at the facts, you will actually see the whole Rudebox project has been very successful considering.
Some of Rudebox's great reviews!!!!!

How the hell is Rudebox single and album a failure! Rudebox the single went into the charts in the UK at No.4, the same placing as 'Angels' and Rudebox the album was Robbie's 8th No.1 album in the UK and went to No.1 in fourteen countries.
Rudebox the album has sold over 3 million copies worldwide, our UK press call this a failure! Okay, not his biggest sales figures, but certainly not a flop and it is still selling due to 'She's Madonna' the latest single off the album being a worldwide smash hit.
Rudebox is a very good album, some great tracks on it, The 80's, The 90's, The Actor, Keep On, Bongo Bong, Never Touch that Switch are all fantastic, the production is great, and the orchestrations are excellent and then you have the best diverse artist in UK history putting his vocals to it and his vocal delivery and his lyrics are stunning.
Love it. I cannot wait for what Robbie will do next.
