'American Idol' Carrie Underwood scores at CMT Awards

Country music sweetheart and former “American Idol” champ Carrie Underwood took home two big buckles at Monday’s 2007 Country Music Television Awards. The singer won the Female Vocalist of the Year award and the Horizon award at the Country Music Association show in 2006.During the show, Tayor Swift won the “Breakthrough Video” award for her single “Tim McGraw.” Country duo Sugarland picked up a buckle for “Duo Video of the Year” for their single “Want To.” Jack Ingram picked up the “Wide Open Country Video” (which was explained as being an example of country music crossing genre boundries) for his hit “Love You.”County music superstar Kenny Chesney won the “Male Video of the Year” award for his hit “You Save Me,” and Rascal Flatts took home the “Group Video Award" for “What Hurts the Most.”
