What better way for MTV VMA Award-winning, Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum Island Records group the Killers to wrap up the first weekend of their sold-out, 5-month spring-summer North American and European tour schedule than with the news that “Read My Mind,” their current single, has gone to #1 at Triple-A Radio.
The video for “Read My Mind,” (directed in Japan with Diane Martel) has also reached #1 on the VH1 countdown. The single is the follow-up to the #1 Alternative hit “When You Were Young,” nominated for Best Rock Song and Best Short Form Music Video at this year’s 49th annual Grammy Awards. Both tracks are from the Killers’ RIAA platinum second album ‘Sam’s Town’ - which made a colossal debut at #2 last October, and is now in its 26th week on the Billboard 200 chart
The Killers kicked off their massive 2007 tour with sold-out concerts on the West Coast in Santa Barbara, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and La Jolla (San Diego). The 8-week North American tour (with dates throughout the U.S. and Canada) wraps up with a gala homecoming gig on June 1st at Theatre Under The Stars in the Killers’ hometown of Las Vegas.
The tour then moves to Europe, opening in Madrid on June 12th, and rolling through Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, the U.K.’s prestigious Glastonbury Festival, Luxembourg, Finland, Norway, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Ireland, Hungary, and England through August 19th. The Killers Tickets are now available at M&C’s Ticket Database. The Killers tour dates include:
