Former Libertines bandmates Pete Doherty and Carl Barat were reunited on stage last night (12.04.07).
The pals - who have not performed together since the band split in 2004 - stunned fans with the surprise set during the night billed as 'An Evening With Pete Doherty' at London's Hackney Empire.
Pete introduced Carl in the second half of the show, saying: "You've been waiting for this moment. Ladies and gentlemen Mr Carlos Barat - only joking! What do you expect for 25 quid?"
Carl then walked out on stage in a suit and trilby hat, addressing the crowd with a jaunty 'Hello'.
The duo played a 13-song set including classic Libertines hits 'What A Waster', 'Don't Look Back Into The Sun', and a cover of The Mamas and The Papas song 'Dream A Little Dream'.
Carl also took lead vocals on 'What Katie Did', which Pete penned for him for their self-titled second album.
The pair topped off the incredible evening with an encore performance of Babyshambles song 'Albion'.
The Libertines reportedly split because Carl had grown tired of Pete's drug taking and wild behaviour.
The pair famously fell out after Pete was jailed for breaking into Carl's London flat.
Since The Libertines split, Carl has formed his own group Dirty Pretty Things.
