White Stripes not hitting the road for massive tour this summer

News of a White Stripes tour this summer in support of the new album ‘Icky Thump’ began circulating around the Internet on Monday, but the duo have stated it report was hoax. As of now, there are no plans to support the album with a tour this summer.The band said an internet hoaxer started a news story that said the White Stripes were planning a long summer tour in support of their new album and that it was going to kick off with a July 29 appearance at the San Diego Street Scene festival and run through October. Today, news came from Jack and Meg White that they are still in the process of determing what will be done to help promote their album. 'Icky Thump,' is set to include tracks like "I`m Slowly Turning Into You," "Catch Hell Blues," "Little Cream Soda" and "You Don`t Know What Love Is (You Just Do What You`re Told)."
