Pop singer Cyndi Lauper will headline a gay rights tour that is being sponsored by MTV’s network channel Logo and will see the singer joined by Deborah Harry, Erasure and comedian Margaret Cho. The 15-city "True Colors" concert tour is viewed by the network as a way to help promote tolerance and gay rights.

The tour will kick off in Las Vegas on June 8th and run until June 30th. The final concert will be held in Los Angeles. Beside main acts like Lauper, Harry, and Erasure, the tour will also see performances from Rufas Wainwright (in various cities).
Logo is the MTV Networks channel aimed at the gay audience. During the tour, fans will be able to find information on different pro-gay organizations (such as the Matthew Shepard organization) and will receive purple wristbands with "Erase Hate" printed on them. The bands are from the Matthew Shepard organization – which was named for the gay youth who was killed in what is believed to be a hate crime.
In addition, a dollar from each ticket sold during the tour will be used for the Human Rights Campaign – which promotes equal rights for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered people.
Tour stops include Salt Lake City, Denver, Chicago, Atlantic City, N.J., Boston, Washington, New York, Dallas and San Francisco.
