Genesis is back, but still missing Peter Gabriel
By M&C News Mar 7, 2007, 20:39 GMT
Genesis is back and will be hitting the road together this summer for the first time in 15 years, but they are still missing former singer Peter Gabriel. Tickets will go on sale in Montreal and Philadelphia beginning Saturday, March 10 and in Boston, Chicago, East Rutherford, Hartford and Toronto on Monday, March 12.
The tour will see the three members of Genesis (vocalist and drummer Phil Collins, keyboard player Tony Banks and guitarist Mike Rutherford) hitting dates in Europe and North American. Although Gabriel will not be hitting the road with the band, Collins has stated that there might be future projects with the group and the singer.
Genesis is planning for several stops in Europe during the summer – including a free concert at the Circus Maximus in Rome, and fans could see them take the stage at “Live Earth” on July 7th. The “Live Earth” global event is being organized by former U.S. Vice President Al Gore and will feature concerts taking place in various cities on the same day.
Genesis’ "Turn it on Again" tour will come to North American in September with the first show scheduled in Toronto on Sept. 7th and the last gig happening at the Hollywood Bowl on October 12.
The Genesis reunion tour happens to be taking place at the same time as Rhino Records release of three boxed sets made up on songs from the group’s 13 studio albums.
Genesis Tickets are now available at M&C's Ticket Database.
