It looks like Sting might be planning for a reunion with the other members of The Police for a summer tour or at least according to information reported by Vancouver rock station CFMI.
The radio station reported on Thursday, that Sting, Andy Summers and Stewart Copeland have discussed plans to launch a summer tour and might even be planning to hold rehearsals at the city’s Lions Gate Studios.
An official announcement from The Police is expected sometime next month, and if the tour happens it will be the first outing for the iconic band since the group parted company in 1984.
There are also rumors of a possible preview of the reunited Police at this year’s Grammy Awards with hints that the band may be the opening act when the show is held on Feb. 11th at the Los Angeles Staples Center. However, Grammy officials have declined to offer a comment about the act.
The reunion rumors are following the announcement that fellow 80s rocker David Lee Roth will be reuniting with the other members of Van Halen for a summer tour.
