Ms. Strisand needs to learn that just because she's an aging performer, people don't want to hear her political views. Lord knows we hear them enough when she's not on stage. Please Barwba....GIVE US A BREAK! People pay you to sing. That's IT!!!
I suggest people offended by her skits NOT buy tickets to her performances. That way she and her liberal democratic following can have a nice uninterrupted evening together.
So what's not to mock about this ignorant, bloody-handed preznut, anyway?
Barbara Streisand has been a consistent voice for fairness, human rights, and peace over the years. A fan doesn't like that? Then stay home!
How typical of the rightwing to lose their tempers over somebody else's opinion and to react violently. Look at Rush L going after Michael J. Fox! Bad tempered, mean, nasty.
A little civility must be too much to hope for from the right.
I do agree that if fans don't want to hear anyone (especially Babs) berate the Republicans - then stay home. After all these years of her constant social gatherings with Democrates, you know beforehand she is going to open up on stage about Bush, Republicans and the War. Save time and money and stay home.
On the other hand, we as fans of any celebrity are to blame for letting a singer, actor, or actress feel that just because they make millions of dollars that we would rather pay hundreds of dollars to hear them talk about what is bad in the USA than just hear then entertain. What happened to the 'real stars' who entertained and kept their political views to themselves. Nothing Barbara would say would make me not vote Republican or Democrat.. I just want you to entertain me Babs, not run for office.

I agree that Babs should be able to express her opinion onstage.
She books her travel through GAYDARGUIDE.COM and a portion of the proceeds go to GLBT charities.
So Babs is a liberal person and her voiced concerns about the President are hers to share.
Respect that!
Maybe next time some rightwing nut throws a barb at Babs, one of gay males in the audience -- this is Barburah after all -- should go over and plant a big wet one on the Shrub-backer.
People who are easily offended have a low self esteem. Supporters of Bush, particularly those of intelligence are under tremendous pressure right now.
Its very obvious that the man is incompetent, a liar whose lies have resulted in thousands of deaths and quite possibly the worst president that this country has ever had. Streisand and others have a right to the joke. Reacting by throwing things is assault, plain and simple.
Keep it coming, Barbra. If we had more intelligent voices like hers, we wouldn't be in this mess with this fool for a president.
Hey, isn't it ironic that this so called liberal bashes President Bush, won't go to Germany on account of their past but is happy to consider giving concerts in Russia and China, where human rights count for nothing.
