Snoop could face charges for packing a baton in an airport
By M&C News Oct 24, 2006, 11:44 GMT

The rap “Dogfather” Snoop Dogg could be looking at criminal charges following an incident in September at a security check point at the John Wayne International Airport where airport officials discovered a 21 inch collapsible baton in one of the rapper’s bags.
The officials located the baton in a laptop case that Snoop was attempting to pass through the check point in the Orange County airport. The rapper, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, was trying to board a flight to New York when he was stopped by officials. He informed them the baton was a prop for a movie that he was shooting.
Snoop has had past run-ins with airport security including a May, 2005, incident that resulted in a brawl in London's Heathrow airport. Snoop and five men that were part of his “entourage” were busted during the incident – which was the result of his entourage not being allowed in the first class lounge. During the brawl, seven airport officials were injured, and Snoop was banned from flying British Airways.
