I love the Dixie Chicks. They grew out of country and I'm happy that their album was number 1. Their new album 'taking the long way' is phenomenal! It will take nearly every grammy this year.

The Chicks had the number 1 album in this country and several others when their new album came out. They were on the front cover of time magazine. They went on the Larry King Live show and 60 minutes and countless other great shows. Their album and songs were number 1 on amazon and itunes. Their new video 'Not Ready To Make Nice' was number 1 on vh1 for 13 consecutive weeks! Breaking the record! I would definetly said tha Chicks crossed over. And if you're a type of person who has to catagorized a band in a certain genre, then the Dixie Chicks are not for you. They have thier own genre. So I'm happy the Chicks came out vindicated through out this whole experience. I'm seeing them live on November 9th and I can't wait.

First, Natalie has lost a lot of weight and looks great. Second, one's musical ability does rest on body size. TTLW is a phenomenal album. It is unfortunate that so many closed minded individuals won't take the opportunity to listen it. Had the incident never occurred, this cd would have produced Top 10 hit after Top 10 hit.

Let them speak their minds if they want. This is a free country. When our president and vice president and all their little rats that serve with them get up and blantantly spit in our faces and lie, then let the people speak their minds. I say 'HOORAY' for the Dixie Chicks. I respect them and love them to pieces even though I was never a CW fan, I definitely am now.......Keep up the good work girls!!!!!

Omg! This it to the freaking moron Bill451. A persons body size or weight have nothing to do with a persons musical ability. Either they can sing or play an instrument or whatever. There are many fat, obease, plump whatever you want to call it famous singers and actors female and male out there. For instance Britney Spears, Scarlett Johansson,Shakira(fat ass) J Lo (fat ass) Selena was (overweight),Tiffani-Amber Thiessen (overweight),America Ferrera (overweight),Amy Lee from Evanescence(overweight)Da Brat(overweight and fat ass)Queen Latifah(fat)Marilyn Monroe(was internationaly famous sex symbol do I need to say more?)Beyoncé(was overweight and fat ass)Raven-Symone(overweight)
Jack Black(fat)John Belushi(was fat)Jim Belushi(fat)Marlon Brando(was fat)John Candy(was fat)Chris Farley(was fat)John Goodman(fat) Drew Carrey(fat),Kevin James(fat). So your statements were rediculous. same as if I would say, Why do FAT MEN play football, packed skin tight uniforms with their fat bulging out everywhere, huffing and puffing running around, while everyone watches to see which fat blob is gonna drop dead from a heart attack. And when they do drop dead, theres a cover up saying its steroids that killed him. No they arnt going to say the imbicile dies cause he was FAT! lol!!!
