Gnarls Barkley and the Red Hot Chili Peppers have announced plans to hit the road together in January of 2007 for a three month arena tour of the U.S. Gnarls Barkley will also release a limited edition CD + DVD package of ‘St. Elsewhere’ on November 7th that will include a 92 page booklet, four music videos and bonus songs from live performances.
Gnarls Barkley is the irony-laden psychedelic soul project spearheaded by producer Danger Mouse and vocalist, lyricist, soul-funk-hip hop-experimenter, Cee-Lo Green which resulted in one of the most successful albums of 2006 so far – St. Elsewhere.
Their first single, "Crazy" garnered more radio format play than any single in U.S. radio history -- with nine radio formats and a U.S. radio audience of nearly 100 million. With St. Elsewhere being a top five album in almost every country in Europe, the band was recently nominated for two MTV Europe Music Awards for best song and best video.
Specific dates and venues for the Gnarls Barkley / Red Hot Chili Peppers US tour are yet to be announced.
