Well my response to this is 'so what is new'. Everyone knows that Willie has smoked pot for years. Smoking pot is no worse than the big shot executives hitting happy hours everyday. If our government were smart, they would legalize pot, put a tax on it and get our country out of debt. Let's concentrate on the more important things going on in this world than Willie and his band smoking pot. They were not hurting or harming anyone and did not possess any problem causing situation. So what if they had mushrooms and pot on their band bus. Let's stop picking on Willie and start picking on the people that really need picking on such has his fellow Texas, George W. Bush, and all his lying posse.
I say to Willie, 'If that is all you do, then just keep it up'. The highway patrol and police need to dwell on catching the gang bangers, murderers, rapist, and thieves of this world instead of just waiting to jump on Willie Nelson everytime he turns around. It is no shock to anyone in this world that Willie Nelson smokes pot. Get a Life People!!!
The responders to this blog forget that pot is illegal. How will we differentiate the Willie Nelson's with talent and money to the average kid? I know when my son (age 17) was picked up with 43 grams of pot (just over 1 1/2 ounces-not pounds) my car was confiscated. I did not get it back for over a year. This went to trial. The entire time I made payments on my vehicle and purchased another one. Where's Willie's bus? Do we treat everyone equally under the law or only those with money?
Great to believe in freedom. I much prefer equality with that freedom. Until such time whether Willie is adored or not, you cannot thumb your nose at the current law. I believe in my state the 43 grams is a felony charge. Wonder what the people involved with will be charged?
weed should be legal and free for everyone
I don't like Big W's music ... i hope they keep him locked up. Plus it is a heath hazard for him to continue smoking pot. Will grow up, and stop making music!
yeah its sad how unfair and unjust our system is....when it comes to the almighty dollar...I know lots of people in the pen for this same such crime I say FREE the prisoners that you have locked up...and by GOD lealize what shouldve been legalized long ago...but they cant because they would loose that almighty dollar and they`d have nothing to keep themselves going with if
they did such a thing they would go broke and the prisons would nearly be empty and they arent gonna make no revenue without screwing somebody so they pick on us innocent marijuana smokers just to make a $ even thou its a proven medical fact that marijuana helps alot of disorders we all suffer from ... I think we should do away with the government they are nothing but liars cheaters and the real reason why our economy is the way it is because all they see are $ signs they are greedy and only lookin after there own wallets while stealing from ours...IAM SICKOF THE GOVERNMENT and
how corrupted and unjustified they
are they are the ones that should be in prison lookin out not us Marijuana Smokers!!! ~FREE WILLIE take GEORGE W.
its true willy. an apple a day does keep the docter away!keep on token man.
I am a 28 year old college student. I recently did an essay on the legalization of marijuana and no where in my research (and trust me i did 3 weeks of the crap) did I find that marijuana is a 'gateway' drug. As a matter of fact, I found more good that it does than harm. For example,
8. At present it is estimated that marijuana's LD-50 is around 1:20,000 or 1:40,000. In layman terms this means that in order to induce death a marijuana smoker would have to consume 20,000 to 40,000 times as
much marijuana as is contained in one marijuana cigarette. NIDA-supplied marijuana cigarettes weigh approximately .9 grams. A smoker would theoretically have to consume nearly 1,500 pounds of marijuana within about fifteen minutes to induce a lethal response.
9. In practical terms, marijuana cannot induce a lethal response as a result of drug-related toxicity.
http://www.letfreedomgrow.com/ in contrast:
Death - At high levels of blood alcohol concentration, exceeding 800mgs per 100mls, death is possible from suppression of the respiratory centre (breathing) or inhalation of vomit. This would equate to drinking a bottle of spirits in a short space of time.
Death may also occur over a longer period of alcohol abuse due to liver failure or other damage to the body's vital organs

so to all those who keep badgering willie,,,, leave him alone. He is over 21 and im sure that if it were going to kill him or anyone else it would have done so by now. GO WILLIE!!
c'mon y'all know them cops been smokin it 2 i mean what do they do w/ it when there don w/ the prosocution!!!!!!!!! leave him alone free willie
Nuttin wrong with pot and a good shroom trip every now and then shit people...lol but think about it a normal person caught with all that and they would be in prison as we speak...correct ...no?
Pot is illegal folks! Wake Up! Stop defending this guy! He's just a dumb old singer...stop putting him and other singers on a pedestal! That's why America is all screwed up! In case you idiots don't know...pot contains mind altering substances (THC). A friend of mine was almost killed by some jerkoff drug addict because of pot and other drugs! So...do not tell me that pot never hurt anyone! Grow Up!
