Archbishop of Prague criticizes Madonna concert

Prague - Cardinal Miloslav Vlk, the archbishop of Prague, on Friday criticised the upcoming concert by US singer Madonna as 'unacceptably insulting to religious people.'
During the upcoming concert, Madonna will at times hang from a cross and wear a crown of thorns.
'In doing this, she makes fun of the faith and abuses Christian symbols,' Vlk told the news agency CTK. He said he would refrain from judging the show's artistic merits.
'As a Christian, for me this show is absolutely scandalous,' he said.
Madonna is to appear in Prague on September 6 and 7.
