Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl wants to get drunk with two Australian miners who listened to his band while trapped underground.
The rocker has revealed he plans to meet up with the survivors when the band tours the country in October.
Grohl, 37, said on Thursday (31.08.06): "You know what? I'm not just having one beer with those dudes - we're going for it. It is going to be a big night."
The musician was touched when he found out Brant Webb and Todd Russell - who spent two weeks trapped underground when the mine they were working in at Beaconsfield, in Tasmania, collapsed in May - kept their spirits up by listening to his songs on their mp3 players.
Since their rescue, the two men have become celebrities in their own right in Australia.
Responding to Grohl's offer, their manager Sean Anderson, said: "I'm sure they will be very keen to meet him."
