Singer/songwriter Amos Lee is set to release his second studio album ‘Supply and Demand’ on the Blue Note Records label on October 3rd. The album is filled with Lee’s trademark brand of folk-soul music and cutting lyrics.
Lee grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Cherry Hill, New Jersey. This upbringing gave the singer a chance to see the various sides of life in America – which is something that is easily reflected in the songs on ‘Supply and Demand.’ The former school teacher released a five track, self-produced EP that eventually brought him to the attention of singer Norah Jones – who booked him as her opening act in 2004. Since then, Lee has opened from a range of music acts including legends like country singer Merle Haggard and rock icon Bob Dylan.
The singer, who has been compared to Stevie Wonder, Neil Young, and James Taylor, self-titled debut album was released in 2005 on the Blue Note Records label, and saw success with the single “Colors.” The song was featured on the soundtrack of the Dreamworks film ‘Just Like Heaven,’ and was featured on the two-hour season finale of the ABC show “Grey's Anatomy.” The single "Keep it Loose, Keep it Tight" also saw success and was featured on the NBC show Conviction.
The 11-track ‘Supply and Demand’ finds Lee once again singing about the things he has seen in life and includes tracks like “Freedom,” “Night Train,” “Sweet Pea,” and “Careless.”
‘Supply and Demand’ is now available for pre-order at Amazon. Visit the music database for more information and a complete track listing.
