Stones cancel gig after Mick gets laryngitis
By M&C News Aug 14, 2006, 14:58 GMT
Rock icons The Rolling Stones were forced to cancel a concert date in Valladolid, Spain, Monday when front man Mick Jagger took ill with laryngitis.
The cancellation will force the band to refund 37,000 tickets that were sold for the gig and is the latest hiccup on the current “A Bigger Bang” tour.
The band issued a statement that they were expecting to make the Sunday, August 20th concert at Twickenham Stadium in London, but the August 16th El Ejido, Spain concert could still be in question.
Jagger, who has had throat problems in past Stone tours, did issue a statement apologizing for the cancellation.
