Beyonce fans protest “Déjà Vu”
By M&C News Jul 27, 2006, 13:48 GMT

Beyonce may be proud of her new album ‘B’Day’ and its first single “Déjà Vu,” but thousands of the singers fans have launched an online petition to have the video for the song banned.
The singer’s new video announced the arrival of her highly anticipated new album, and features her performing with her longtime boyfriend Jay-Z. The video seems to have fallen flat on some fans, and has prompted them to take matters into their own hands. With more than 2,000 online signatures, fans have launched a petition to have the video pulled and that also demands it be reshot.
The petition is addressed to Columbia Records, the singer’s label, and lists a series of grievances that fans have with the film – including “unacceptable interactions” between Beyonce and Jay-Z. Other complaints include a lack of theme, bad editing, and wardrobe.
