The Rolling Stones plan “Bigger Bang” for America
By M&C News Jul 25, 2006, 16:51 GMT
The Rolling Stones have announced they plan on bringing their current “A Bigger Bang” tour to the U.S. and Canada for 17 shows this fall.
The rock icons are currently traveling through Europe on the tour, but plan to kick off the North American dates on September 20th in Boston and finish the American leg of the tour up in Los Angeles on November 18th.
The tour has seen several delays as the Stones were forced to deal with guitarist Keith Richards surgery in New Zealand following a head injury while on vacation, and guitarist Ronnie Wood’s break while he checked into a London rehabliation clinic for alcohol abuse in June.
While touring through the U.S, the Stones plan to hit major cities such as New York and Chicago, but also some smaller new markets in Wichita, Kansas, and Boise, Idaho. The rockers are also planning stops in Las Vegas, Atlantic City, El Paso, and Oakland.
