Toby Keith jumps from the music charts to the big screen

Country singer/songwriter Toby Keith is set to make the leap to the big screen this fall when he makes his motion picture debut in the film “Broken Bridges” – set to open on September 8th from Paramount Pictures.

Taking a page from Willie Nelson’s first few films, Keith is set to star as a musician who struggles with alcohol and a failing career.

The film will also star Kelly Preston and Lindsey Haun (who plays Keith’s 16-year-old daughter. Keith will also provide a musical contribution to the film’s soundtrack – including a duet with Haun.

The soundtrack will include about seven songs from Keith, and other top music industry performers such as Willie Nelson, BeBe Winans, and Scotty Emerick. Keith will hit the road in August for his “Hookin’ Up & Hanging’ Out” tour – which will be supported by acts like Joe Nichols.
