Several of music’s hottest performers will have music and videos featured on the upcoming music-based puzzle game ‘Lumines II’ from Buena Vista Games, Inc., - the interactive entertainment arm of The Walt Disney Company.
Disney announced the details for the ‘Lumines II’ soundtrack and the music videos that will also appear on the game that is coming from developer Q Entertainment.
‘Lumines II’ will also be the first handheld game for the PSP system to feature music videos from the artist featured.
The game (set to be released in November in the U.S.) is the sequel to the extremely popular Lumines game, and requires players to control squares made of four smaller block pieces that are dropped into the playing field, one at a time, to form same-color rectangles (similar to the classic puzzle game Tetris).
Music videos set to appear in the game include Beck’s “Black Tambourine,” Black Eyed Peas’ “Pump It,” Chemical Brothers’ “Star Guitar,” Fatboy Slim’s “Gangster Trippin’,” Gwen Stefani’s “Hollaback Girl,” Hoobastank “Born to Lead,” Missy Elliott “Lose Control,” and more. In addition to the music videos the soundtrack will feature Junkie XL’s “Breezer” and Stigmato Inc “Reality Check.”
