Friends of Kristofferson take a pilgrimage on new album celebrating his career

The Pilgrim: A Celebration of Kris Kristofferson focuses on the breadth and scope of a career and a life of honesty and integrity lived without compromise. In honor of his 70th birthday, friends of Kris Kristofferson will take a pilgrimage of sorts through the singer/songwriter’s career with the release of ‘The Pilgrim: A Celebration of Kris Kristofferson.’
The album takes listeners on a journey through Kristofferson’s musical career with 18 tracks that cover his long range as a songwriter. The album includes performances from a mixture of music industry leading performers (including Gretchen Wilson, Brian McKnight, Rosanne Cash, and Shooter Jennings) and even Academy award winner Russell Crowe. It was produced by Grammy winner Randy Scruggs.
Tracks on the album include some of Kristofferson’s most famous songs ranging from “Sunday Morning Coming Down” performed by Gretchen Wilson to “Help Me Make It Through The Night” performed by Bruce Robison & Kelly Willis.

The album also features Kristofferson’s fellow Highwaymen member Willie Nelson on “The Legend” and Jessi Colter (widow of country music icon Waylon Jennings) on “The Captive.”
