George Harrison returns to store shelves re-mastered for the material world

George Harrison will return to the store shelves this September when Capitol/EMI release a CD/DVD re-mastered version of the late singer’s ‘Living in the Material World.’ The British singer/songwriter died on Nov. 29, 2001.The album was Harrison’s second release after the Beatles broke up in 1970, and the new version will include additional tracks “Deep Blue” and “Miss O’Dell.” The DVD portion includes the footage “Give Me Love (Give Me Peace on Earth)” from Harrison’s 1991 tour with singer Eric Clapton. Also included are film clips from the recording sessions of ‘Living in the Material World’ and photo montage film clips for the two new tracks.Harrison’s first solo release ‘All Things Must Pass’ was the first “triple album” in rock and included the single “My Sweet Lord.” The singer continued to release solo albums throughout the 70s and 80s, and was also a member of the group Traveling Wilburys with other music industry icons Roy Orbison, Jeff Lynne, Bob Dylan, and Tom Petty.
