The buzz for Nelly Furtado\'s Loose began before the music was even recorded, with the announcement that legendary hip-hop knob-twirler Timbaland (Missy Elliott, Jay-Z, Justin Timberlake) would act as co-producer. The question on fans\' minds: what would it sound like when a hip-hop kingpin collaborated with an artist who culls inspiration not just from pop music, but also her own Portuguese roots? Nelly Furtado and Keane new studio albums will hit store shelves on Tuesday along with a new live concert album from Academy Award nominated band Counting Crows.
Nelly Furtado’s ‘Loose’ is already burning up the single's charts thanks to the hit first releases "Promiscuous" - which saw the singer team up with 'Loose' producer Timbaland – and “Maneater.”
‘Loose’ marks the third studio album from the Grammy award winning artist and it looks to be another hit for the singer based on the success of the first two singles both on the U.S. and U.K. charts. Timbaland and Danja produced 10 of the 12 tracks on the album.
‘Loose’ is now available at Amazon. Visit the music database for more information and a complete track listing.
Keane’s ‘Under the Iron Sea’ is the British trio’s sophomore album and was recorded at The Magic Shop in Soho, New York and at Helioscentric Studios, near Battle. The band has described the album as having a darker electronic sound than their debut album ‘Hopes and Fears.’
The first single "Atlantic" was released as a download-only music video in April, and was followed up by the hit single “Is It Any Wonder?” that was released at the end of May.
The album’s title comes from lyrics on the ninth track “Crystal Ball,” and the album has already sold more than 220,000 copies in the U.K. ‘Hopes and Fears’ reached double platinum selling status and won a Brit Award for Best Album in February 2005.

The Counting Crows ‘New Amsterdam: Live at Heineken Music Hall February 6, 2003’ is the band’s second live album (the first being the double disc Across a Wire: Live in New York City in 1998), and features 15 tracks.
The songs are a good blend of material released over the past 13 years. The tracks include hits like “Rain King,” “Omaha,” and “Hanging Around.” There are also lesser known Crows classics like “Goodnight Elisabeth,” “Goodnight LA,” and “St. Robinson in His Cadillac Dream.”
