Judge rules to make R. Kelly sex tape public during trial
By M&C News Jun 9, 2006, 16:34 GMT
Singer R. Kelly’s sex tape with an alleged underage female will be made public during his trial thanks to a ruling handed down by the judge on Thursday.
Kelly has already pleaded not guilty to 14 counts of child pornography, and his attorneys even attempted to get all charges dismissed in December, 2005, due to the language used into the actual indictment. That attempt was denied.
The tape is said to have been made between 1998 and 2000, and with the female possibly being a young as 13. Both sides of the bench had asked the judge to only allow the tape to be viewed by the jury and those involved in the trial. Kelly has been facing charges since 2002 and no trial start date is set yet.
