Streisand hitting the road in the fall

Singer/actress Barbra Streisand will hit the road in October and November for her first concert tour in more than ten years.

Streisand (64) is expected to play about 20 dates in various cities (both dates and cities haven’t been announced yet) and will use the Streisand Foundation to help divide certain proceeds from the tour to various causes – ranging from education to the environment.

The singer’s most recent album “Guilty Pleasures” was released in September, 2005, and her last concert tour was in 1994. Streisand last big screen appearance was in 2004 in “Meet the Fockers” the hit sequel to “Meet the Parents. She has recorded more than 60 albums and has won a number of awards – including two Oscars, six Emmys, eleven Golden Globes, and ten Grammys.
