Christina Aguilera is planning to give fans even more music on her upcoming “Back to Basics” album which will feature enough material to grant a double disc release.
Aguilera’s new album, which will be released through the RCA label, is set to hit store shelves in August, and the first single will be “Ain’t No Other Man” which is already available through Apple’s iTunes store. Fans got a taste of the song during the MTV Movie Awards last week.
Aguilera’s first studio album (which was self titled) was released in 1999 and launched the singer to stardom with singles like “Genie in a Bottle” and “What a Girl Wants.”
She followed the album up with the release of “Stripped” in 2002, and featured singles like “Dirty” and “Beautiful.” The album did receive some harsh criticism for its suggestive themes.
Aguilera’s new album is said to reflect more of a tones of jazz and blues and be a bit of a departure from Stripped.
