Cars Soundtrack speeds onto the store shelves

Cars is a typical Disney-Pixar animated movie in that it deals with an anthropomorphic character (here, a car) and the heartwarming values of family and friendship. (Alas, we\'ll have to wait a little while longer for the company to take on greed and selfishness.) Fueled by some of the music industry’s biggest stars, The Cars Soundtrack hit store shelves today to help get audiences in the mood for the new Disney/Pixar animated movie that starts at the theaters on Friday.
The Cars Soundtrack sports a score by Disney favorite Randy Newman and includes a mixture rock and country. With 20 tracks, the soundtrack has a mixture that is sure to please adults as well as kids hungry for more of the movie.
Some of the Soundtracks biggest performers and songs include Sheryl Crow's "Real Gone," Rascal Flatts cover of the 1991 hit "Life Is a Highway," John Mayer "Route 66," two tracks (“Behind The Clouds” and “Find Yourself”) from Brad Paisley, and “My Heart Would Know” from country music icon Hank Williams.
