The White Stripes future up in the air?

There has been rumblings that revival rock duo the White Stripes may be packing it in permanantly but singer-guitarist Jack White has reassured fans that he has no intention of breaking up the band.White has a new band The Raconteurs which is more of a side project than a full-time gig even though most of 2006 will be spent with this so-called side-project. The Raconteurs’ debut album Broken Boy Soldiers is due out on May 15, and will be followed by a lengthy tour. Despite a busy year, White does plan to to head back into the studio with his White Stripes bandmate Meg White in the future.”I'm having a slight break from The White Stripes but not too much,” he told The Evening Echo. ”I've already got a lot of songs for our next record, so when I find two minutes to record it I will.”The White Stripes last studio album was 2005's Get Behind Me Satan.
