Radiohead sorry for website crash
By Trent McMartin Mar 24, 2006, 16:06 GMT
Radiohead's official website has crashed due to high demand for tickets to
some upcoming shows. Singer Thom Yorke has apologized to fans who were
unable to purchase tickets.
In an online statement, Yorke said: "Sorry about the system meltdown. We
were caught by surprise by the volume of traffic. Even though we should
technically be able to handle it.. The numbers were far beyond what we
expected. So sorry about all the confusion."
The group released some tickets via their official website this week for
official mailing list members. But demand was overwhelming and the website
crashed leaving many fans ticket-less.
Upcoming shows:
Copenhagen KB Hall (May 6-7)
Amsterdam Heineken Hall (9-10)
Blackpool Empress Ballroom (12-13)
Wolverhampton Civic (15-16)
London Hammersmith Apollo (18-19)
Tickets for the Blackpool, Wolverhampton and London shows go on sale March
25.
