Killers want dismissal of lawsuit

Retro-new wave act the Killers have filed documents in a U.S. District Court this week, accusing ex-manager Braden Merrick of incompetence and dishonesty. The band also filed a separate action in California last week to request that any agreements between them and Merrick be voided.Last month Merrick sued The Killers and their lawyer for $16 million U.S claiming that he was unjustly fired two years before his contract was to expire.
“You gotta take your shot if you don't want to pay what you owe,” said Merrick’s lawyer when he heard of the Killers’ action. So far a date for the hearing has not yet been scheduled.
