Paris Hilton is reportedly being lined-up to present an award at next month's star-studded Brit awards.
Organisers want the hotel heiress at the prestigious bash because they believe her presence could spark controversy.
A source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: 'Paris Hilton is the big American name who will be there on the night to present an award. She has exactly the right credentials to get herself into trouble on the night.' 'She could well get herself booed by the serious rock 'n' roll contingent - and whatever happens she won't be boring.' Meanwhile, British rockers the Kaiser Chiefs are said to be certain they will triumph over singer James Blunt at the awards. Both are up for five accolades, but the band are said to be confident they can see off the competition. Frontman Ricky Wilson said: 'Some people love James Blunt and some people hate him, but I just really don't care.' Elsewhere, Coldplay - who are set to perform at the awards bash - will battle it out with Franz Ferdinand and animated group the Gorillaz in the Best British Group category. Madonna scooped three nominations, including International Female Solo Artist and International Album, for 'Confessions On A Dancefloor'.Copyright 2006 BANG Media International
