Ticket problems for Robbie Williams fans
Nov 10, 2005, 17:50 GMT
Robbie Williams fans were left fuming after his website crashed just minutes after tickets for his upcoming world tour went on sale.
Besotted fans were so desperate to see his 2006 tour they overloaded his site and crashed the members' area just 10 minutes after tickets went on sale yesterday (09.11.05).
The main site was unaffected, but the Inner Sanctum - which subscribers pay £25 to enter so they can get priority ticket access - went down. A spokesman for the heartthrob singer revealed: 'The system did get overloaded and crashed, but the problem's been fixed and there are still tickets on sale.' Earlier this week, Robbie thanked his former Take That bandmates for saving him from a life of crime and drug addiction. The star admitted the group - comprising Jason Orange, Howard Donald, Mark Owen and Gary Barlow - probably saved his life because their success gave him the money to beat his well-publicised drug addiction. He told a TV documentary: 'Perhaps Take That saved my life. I'd have had a problem with drugs anyway, I was heading that way. 'In all seriousness I would have been a dealer or a burglar and that's the truth because I would not have had the money to fund my addiction and I'd have probably been in jail now.'Copyright 2005 BANG Media International
