Life on the road no longer wild for Rod Stewart

Rod Stewart always packs a hot water bottle when he goes on the road.
When asked what he takes to make him feel at home, the wrinkly rocker, who is expecting a baby with girlfriend Penny Lancaster, confessed: "A hot water bottle."
The star has also revealed the first thing he requests from the concierge after he has checked into a hotel is "a teapot and cup for a proper cup of tea."
Rod's creature comforts are a far cry from his old days on the road - when trashing hotel rooms was the norm.
He recalled: "We were one of the first bands to do that. In the old days they would say, 'You naughty boys! That will be a thousand dollars for throwing that television out the window.'
"Don't even try it now, it's not worth it. Those were the days!"
