Razorlight make acting debut

Razorlight will make a cameo appearance in surreal BBC comedy The Mighty Boosh. The band will play themselves, and will be seen searching the desert with metal detectors looking for “the new sound”.The London outfit were fans of the show and bagged the role after striking up a friendship with The Mighty Boosh stars Noel Fielding and Julian Barratt. Razorlight drummer Andy Burrows said "We got nervous - it was our first acting role, but it was great. They were so lovely."So lovely that Razorlight have returned the favour, asking Fielding and Barrattt to appear on their next album, the as yet untitled follow up to “Up All Night”.The episode featuring Razorlight will air on BBC Three at 11p.m. on Tuesday 2nd August, but you can watch it online now at the channel's Web site.
