Sheryl Crow may quit music for quiet life
Jul 28, 2005, 12:42 GMT
Sheryl Crow has hinted she wants to quit her rock career - to settle down and have children with boyfriend Lance Armstrong.
Following Lance's triumphant win in the Tour de France cycling race, the sexy singer has confessed she is looking forward to leading a quiet life at home.
She revealed: "I'm longing to be a housewife and to start a family with Lance."
Lance, who recently announced his retirement from cycling, already has three children with his ex-wife, Kristin.
The American athlete - who has won the Tour de France a staggering seven times in a row - recently admitted that five year-old Luke and three-year-old twins, Grace and Isabelle, were the main reason behind his decision to retire.
He said: "I think the biggest inspiration for this decision is my children.
"They are the ones who have told me that it's time to come home."
Meanwhile, Sheryl has written a song for Lance and his children on her new album.
She says the family inspired her to pen the titular track, called 'Wildflower'.
She told America's Rolling Stone magazine: "It was inspired by Lance, as well as his three kids. It's kind of a reminder, particularly when you look at his young children, how they gravitate to goodness and to light.
"The idea of the song is that no matter how chaotic it is, wildflowers will still spring up in the middle of nowhere."
