By M&C News Aug 28, 2006, 14:07 GMT
Rolling Stones guitarist has done many things that has upset the law during his carreer as a rock ‘n’ roll superstar, but the 62-year-old is now facing some new trouble after the Glasgow City Council learned he might have lit up a cigeratte and violated the Scotland’s moking band during a recent Stones concert.
The City Council has stated that it learned Richards was alleged to have been smoking during the Stones’ Friday concert in Glasgow. The council are said to be looking into the charge, and what its duty may be to make sure the law is enforced.
Scotland has a ban in place on smoking in enclosed public places – which would include theaters and sports venues (such as the one where the Rolling Stones held their concert). The band was approved in March, and if found guilty Richards could be facing a stiff fine of up to $95.
