“MTV Live” to feature rapper Nas on March 15th

The “MTV Live” series known for having some of the biggest names in music will feature Hip Hop superstar Nas on March 15th.

The concert series which is being optimized to run across MTV, MTV2, mtvU, MTV Tr3s, MTV.com and on MTV Mobile on Verizon’s V CAST. MTV teamed up with Verizon Wireless for the new event series which will feature live artist performances monthly, recorded in front of a live audience at the Hard Rock Cafe NY in Times Square.

Current tracklist is as follows: “Hip Hop Is Dead,” “Let There Be Light” featuring Trey Williams, “Can’t Forget About You” featuring Chrisette Michele, “New York State of Mind,” and “Hustlers.” 

Nas is getting ready to embark on a tour in support of his hit album ‘Hip-Hop is Dead.’ The 26-city tour, one of the biggest ever undertaken by Nas, opens March 31st at University of Pittsburgh, and ends May 3rd in San Francisco.

He will also be joining hip-hop singer Kelis on a new series scheduled to run on MTV called “Mr. and Mrs. Jones.” The series will focus on the two stars as they embark on their upcoming tours.
